A once-in-a-hundred-year flood is uncommon, yet flooding does occur at some point in time. During the flood, life changes dramatically from what it was before. The COVID-19 pandemic is an example of a once-in-a-hundred-year flood that has had a tremendous impact on both the economic and social aspects of business. Few industries like information technology, pharmaceuticals, health care diagnostics, e-commerce, education technology benefitted from the crisis, while others like aviation and hospitality faced unseen challenges. As the world entered the year 2022, the reality of a COVID -19 world became further embedded. Work from home, digitization, automation, and AI have altered management functions.

The theme of the first PRISM conference “Architecting the future of business – leadership, governance and technology” attempted to capture the struggle of leaders and managers trying to reinvent and redefine businesses to navigate this emerging reality. In keeping with its vision, the theme of the second PRISM conference, “Leading the Business of the Future: Talent, Technology, and Transformation in a Changing World,” seeks to investigate the changes in people, processes, and technology that organizations must make in order to thrive in a post-pandemic world.

Conceived under the broad thematic umbrella of business agility and resilience, the 2nd PRISM conference will be held at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur from 17th November to 19th November 2022. In keeping with the PRISM tradition, this edition brings together a mix of academics and practitioners for panel discussions and keynote addresses that are aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice and provide all attendees with a truly engaging learning experience.
