Student visits to Japan have focused on the exploration of Japanese business management practices, culture, and urban development. Visits to the Haneda Airport, Rakuten headquarters and other significant locations have acquainted students with the culture of continuous improvement and striving for efficiency that is imbibed in the Japanese environment. They also experienced Japanese heritage by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Kyoto, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Nishiki Market and the Echigo Winery at Urasa.
The students visiting France developed insights on how the culture of a country can be marketed as experiences which not only conserve the local heritage, but also boost the economy. Exploring the many offerings of this country – from perfumery and winemaking to history and haute couture – allowed IIMN students to experience French culture through the ages. Visits to the winemaking hub of Bordeaux, the many attractions of Paris such as the museums of Louvre and Orsay, the Musee du Parfum, the Eiffel Tower, and a day at the University of Lille – where the students attended sessions on Flexible Project Management and Schedule Management – made this module an educational and culturally enriching experience for the students.
3. South Korea
Visits to South Korea have imparted students valuable lessons in operations management. Immersion in South Korea included a visit to the Incheon International Airport Authority to understand the baggage handling system which claims to have a baggage mishandling rate of 0.0001%; Samsung Electronics and Samsung Innovation Museum to learn about the history of the electronics giant, as well as trips to Incheon and Sogang universities and some South Korean cities to explore the country, its history, contemporary environment, and interact with graduate students.
The programme in Singapore was aimed at developing a cross-cultural understanding among the students. Visits to the Marina Barrage, NEWater, leading think tanks, among other locations, helped students in understanding infrastructure management, the economy, and various other aspects of business management in a foreign country.
5. UAE (Dubai)
The International Immersion Programme in Dubai was undertaken in the form of a project. The Institute partnered with six organizations based in Dubai. These organizations offered student teams some real-time challenges that they wanted the students to explore and suggest solutions to. Subsequent to the primary analysis that students carried out from campus, the students operated from partner organizations offices located in Dubai.
Faculty and Student Exchange Programmes
IIM Nagpur has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with a number of institutions around the world. These engagements open up avenues for student and faculty exchange programmes, research and training collaboration in a multicultural environment.

Foreign Language Courses
Students of the Masters programme in Business Administration are offered foreign language courses in French and Japanese, to enable them to assimilate better in a global milieu.
