It has been seen that many candidates tend to mark a large number of institutes in the CAT application to minimize their risk in the initial stages of IIM admission process. Some of these institutes no longer remain as choices as the admission process proceeds.

Given the relatively short time in which the admission process of IIMN happens, the institute would like the interested candidates to reconfirm their interest.

No. Your confirmation of interest in IIM Nagpur’s programme will not affect your position in other IIMs.

Yes, but only if you have reconfirmed your continued interest in response to the email sent to you. This email would be sent only to those who meet the shortlisting cut-offs given on the website.

While filling CAT form, you must select IIM Nagpur, and then you will be shortlisted for stage 1 if you clear the CAT cut-off.

As per GoI rules, you will get 5% relaxation, if you belong to SC/ST/PwD category.

On successful completion, students are given a Master of Business Administration degree.

Please ensure that all data such as your date of birth, academic qualifications (degree titles, etc.), and work experience are correctly entered. Please remember that all the details mentioned in the online application form will have to be supported by relevant documents later. The admission (if offered) will automatically stand cancelled if the data you enter and the information on the documents are found to be different.

The aggregate percentage of mark/CGPA is calculated as the average percentage of mark/GPA obtained in each year if the percentage/CGPA is not mentioned in the degree certificate.

All the documents that are applicable to you including academic qualification, work experience, category certificate (if applicable).

It is essential that you provide the relevant documentary support; in case you do not have a certificate of experience then you can provide other useful documents like Letter of Appointment etc. Therefore, in any case, the information needs to be supported by some kind of relevant documents.

We consider your work experience documents issued from your company where dates of international work experience are mentioned. Please note that visits to international locations for participation in any conference/meetings/workshops or business trips are not considered as international work experience. Only full-time work in a foreign location (other than your home country) on legitimate documents, which include offer letter/appointment letter and based on salary/consideration is considered international work experience.

No. IIMN has an independent interview process, and we do not take scores from other IIMs.

The PGP fees for IIM Nagpur will be Rs. 13.5 lakhs (tentatively) for two years for the 2020-22 batch. This amount is exclusive of other charges like caution deposit, mess deposit, etc. The exact amount and details of breakup will be given in the admission offer. Leading banks routinely offer educational loans at concessional terms as per Govt. of India guidelines for all IIMs including IIM Nagpur.

Details of the exact amount and mode of payment will be sent with the offer of admission. The amount usually is around Rs. 50,000. This amount will be adjusted against payment of tuition fees in the future. If the person does not actually join the institute, an amount recommended by GOI guidelines will be retained and the rest, refunded.

IIM Nagpur will start its academic session for the sixth incoming batch in the last week of June 2020.

At the moment, IIM Nagpur functions from its transit campus within the premises of VNIT Nagpur. The Institute is in the western part of the Nagpur city, about 7 kilometers from Nagpur Railway Station and 6.5 kilometers from Nagpur Airport.

All students are provided with accommodation in the hostel as it is a residential programme. The students will be accommodated in well-furnished single room hostels. The institute also has state of the art hostel facilities, which includes adequately furnished rooms with access to the recreation room, fitness center/gym, games and sports, etc.

You will be in state-of-the-art, fully Wi-Fi premises with seamless access to industry and knowledge databases, email, and internet. The library has access to resources including EBSCO Business Source, Proquest Ebook central, ACE knowledge Portal, ACE Equity & MF2, Gartner, Prowessdx, ProwessIQ, and is in the process of acquiring database like India stat.

The industry is showing increasing acceptance of IIMN graduates. There are multiple ways in which IIMN helps its students connect to industry and other stakeholders through live projects, field immersions, internships, and project courses. IIMN has strong field immersion module (FIM) during the first year itself. This allows students to explore many ground realities and problems through first-hand experiences and connect them to concepts and cases that they study in class. No. It is a full-time residential course.

The PGP is a general management programme preparing the students for top management. However, you can tailor the programme to meet your own needs, and post-PGP employment aims through wide range of electives. In this way, you are able to gain all the basic general management skills and specialize in areas of management necessary for your current and future goals.

A CGPA above 2.0 in both the years followed by not more than 12 DCPs in 1st year and 18 (total including 1st year and 2nd year).

There are many avenues for Industry-Academia interactions for PGP students during the year as follows:
a. Field Immersion Module – a unique and compulsory component of first-year PGP which provides an opportunity for the students to work with organizations, apply their learnings and learn from the experience.
b. Illume – the Industry-Institute Interaction Summit is the flagship event of IIM Nagpur.
c. Student clubs and live projects from the industry, government and non-government organizations
d. Speaker Series – where PGP students invite eminent leaders from Industry and Government to the campus.

IIM Nagpur students have participated in exchange programmes with Tel Aviv University, Israel; Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and Instituto Tecnologico Autonoma de Mexico (ITAM). We are seeking to expand this programme further in future and are open to consider possible exchange programmes with internationally reputed universities or management schools.

Yes, IIP at IIM Nagpur is optional for the students as it is offered in the second year as an elective course. In the past, students have visited countries such as Japan, Singapore, France, Dubai, and South Korea.

Students at IIM Nagpur are taught by its own permanent faculty andvisiting faculties from institutes such asIIMA, IIMB and industry. You should, therefore, expect to see some of the best faculty members in the country teaching at IIMN.
