CDS (Career Development Services)
The campus recruitment process at IIM Nagpur is handled by the Career Development Services (CDS) office along with the Student Placement Committee. Apart from placements, CDS also organizes various industry connect programmes for student betterment. The facilities and infrastructure support is provided by the institute for the recruitment process.
The organizations visiting IIM Nagpur share a detail description of the roles on offer at least a week before the commencement of the process. This job description provided clarity on the organizations’ philosophies, expectations & the profile being offered. This helps the students take informed decision and apply as per their own interests and aspirations. These applications are then forwarded to company representatives through suitable mediums.
Based on the relevant profiles the companies are requested to carry forward with further shortlist or conduct the process in multiple stages.
Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs) and Interviews
We encourage organizations to visit the campus for Pre-Placement Talks which provides an excellent opportunity for the visiting leadership team and students to interact and exchange information with respect to their organization and the employment opportunities being offered. Students use this time to understand the organization better and assess their opportunities.
Final Selection Process
These applications are then forwarded to company representatives & based on the relevant profiles the companies are requested to carry forward with further shortlist or conduct the process in multiple stages. Company executives are asked to visit the campus for carrying out the recruitment process. The recruitment process normally consists of Case Study based Group Discussion and few rounds of Personal Interview but not restricted to this only.
Post the process, company make job offers to the students by sending a formal offer letter to the CDS office. The offer acceptance is based on the Institute’s placement policy.
