Indian Institute of Management Nagpur started its journey in the year 2015 under the mentorship of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The Institute’s first batch of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management commenced on the 23rd of July 2015. IIM Nagpur shifted to its new 132-acre campus, situated at MIHAN, Nagpur, Maharashtra, in November 2021. IIM Nagpur, being a new generation IIM, aims to create value-driven leaders, global managers, and entrepreneurs with strong conceptual foundations and analytical approach to help them be the best in whichever field they choose. The aim is to innovatively address the needs of a modern India, and connecting aspirations and realities to attain benchmarks that are respected internationally. IIM Nagpur is gradually increasing its portfolio of activities to fulfill these objectives. The institute’s curriculum has been designed by experts from the field of management education. The learning process here helps the students connect to the industry and other stakeholders in a multidimensional way. A significant feature of IIMN is the Field Immersion Module which helps the students to experience real-life problems and come up with practical solutions for them. The campus is rich with state-of-the-art classrooms to facilitate various pedagogies, IT infrastructure for connectivity and access to academic resources among others. The students at IIMN are encouraged to explore their entrepreneurial ambitions and for that, the institute’s faculty, who have an excellent track record of research and teaching, provide the required support and guidance to the students. IIM Nagpur is a member of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Both IIM Nagpur and AACSB are committed to a common goal, that is, the creation of the next generation of great leaders. Through this alliance, therefore, IIM Nagpur aspires to connect with the global network and contribute to the improvement of the quality of business education around the world.

Climate

The venue of the conference, Nagpur (India), remains pleasant in the month of December with an average temperature that varies between 12.6°C (54.7°F) and 28.1°C (82.6°F). The average relative humidity in the month of December is 56% and the average number of hours of sunshine is around 9.

Travelling to Nagpur? 

By Air

The participants can reach Nagpur airport by non-stop flights from international airports namely Sharjah (UAE) and Doha (Qatar). In addition, major public and private domestic airlines operate regular flights to Nagpur from airports in other Indian cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa and other cities). The conference venue is just 5 KM from the Nagpur airport.

By Road

Nagpur is located at the exact center of the Indian subcontinent, close to the geometric center of the quadrilateral connecting the four major metros of India, viz. Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata. An extensive and well-developed road network connects the Nagpur with other prominent cities.

By Train

Nagpur is centrally located city in India and has excellent train connectivity. Majority of the trains running in India passes through Nagpur railway station. The conference venue is about 14 KM from the Nagpur railway station.

About Nagpur

Nagpur, popularly known as the ‘Orange City’, is one of the fastest growing metropolis and the third largest city after Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra, one of the prominent states in India. The city is located on the eastern part of the state and is the geographical ‘center’ of India (country’s ‘Zero-Milestone’ is located here). Since ages, it has been a city of cultural and political importance. As far as roads, railways and air-flights are concerned, the city is well connected and well served to all the major cities of India.

Interestingly, MIHAN has a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility constructed by Boeing and it is the second such facility in the world after Shanghai. Also, the city is counted among the most secure cities of the country; and hence, India’s majority gold asset is kept in Nagpur’s Branch of Reserve Bank of India. The city is taking sturdy steps towards growth and development.
