Prof. Bharat Bhasker

Director, IIM Raipur

Prof. Bharat Bhasker is the Director of Indian Institute of Management Raipur. Before joining IIM Raipur, he was associated with IIM Lucknow for over two decades having served in various capacities including being the acting Director of IIM Lucknow in 2015. Dr. Bhasker has almost three decades of international experience in industry, research institutions, teaching, management development and consulting. Dr. Bhasker was awarded the prestigious Best Director of Business School Award at Decision Science Institute, USA (Indian Subcontinent) in the 12th annual conference of Indian Subcontinent Decision Sciences Institute (ISDSI) in December 2018.

Dr. Bhasker is an active researcher in the area of Electronic Commerce and Big Data Management. For his salient research contributions in Heterogeneous distributed data management and Information access, NASA honoured him with the Best Research Productivity Award in 1994. Dr. Bhasker’s book, Electronic Commerce: Framework, Technologies and Applications published by McGraw Hill, has a globally acclaimed following and is in fourth edition.

Dr. Bhasker has also been associated as Visiting Professor with ESSEC Business School, France, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea, University of Maryland, University of California and University of Texas, USA.

Prof. D.P. Goyal

Director, IIM Shillong

Prof. D. P. Goyal, Director, IIM Shillong, is an internationally acclaimed academician and researcher. He carries over three decades of rich experience in teaching, research and various leadership roles in few of India’s finest institutions, such as MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad and others. He serves as a visiting Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. Towards the beginning of his career, Prof. Goyal worked with Punjabi University, Patiala; and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala.

In recognition of his excellence in academics and research, on more than one occasion, Prof. Goyal received several awards such as best professor and best research paper. Prof. Goyal has published over 60 research papers and has been principal investigator of UGC sponsored research projects. Prof. Goyal has more than a dozen books to his credit which includes three highly popular text books in Information Systems area. He has organized several national and international conferences and has been regularly training senior level professionals from public, private and government organizations.

Prof. Goyal has been on the expert/assessment/selection committees of various National bodies and is also on the Board of Governors; Academic Advisory Board; Academic Council; Board of Studies of a large number of business schools and universities.

Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh

Director, Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli.

Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh is currently serving as the director at IIM, Trichy. Before, joining IIM Trichy, Prof. Singh was the of director MDI, Gurgaon and has held senior administrative positions at IIM-Indore. Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh has more than two decades of teaching experience.

He has taught at various institutions including NITIE, Mumbai, IGNOU, New Delhi; Kanpur University; and Vikram University, Ujjain. His teaching and research interests centre on themes related to Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Human Values & Indian Ethos, Business Communication, and Developing Managerial Skills. He has published articles in various journals of national and international repute. Dr. Singh has conducted more than 100 Management Development Programmes and interacted with more than eight thousand participants during the course of it.

Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal

Director, IIM Sambalpur

Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal is currently Director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur and also Professor of Information Systems. Prior to this, he was Professor and Dean at MDI, Gurgaon. His qualifications include PGPX from MIT Sloan School of Management, USA, PhD in Computer Science from Delhi University and Sr. Fulbright Fellow from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

He has been Visiting Professor at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Indore. His area of expertise includes Innovation Strategy for Start-ups, Digital Innovation & Platform Eco Systems, Social Entrepreneurship, eGovernment, ERP and IT Strategy. He has published more than 50 research papers and Cases in International journals and He is author of 7 books in Information Systems and Business Process Management. He was associated in developing Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for IT and ITES at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and was Visiting Professor at Rotterdam Business School, NL. He drafted policy document on “ICT Strategy for Indian Manufacturing Competitiveness” for DIIP, GOI. He is a member of expert committees on Modernization of Indian Railways, GOI and CII committee on Responsible Business and Ethics.

Prof. Umakant Dash

Director, IRMA

Prof. Umakant Dash is the Director of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). Prior to joining IRMA, he was Professor & Head of the Department of H&SS, IIT Madras and Adjunct Professor, IIM Tiruchirappalli.

He holds a DHS in Health System Management from Tulane University, USA, and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from IIT Kanpur. He has nearly two decades of experience in academia and research with institutes of national and international repute like IIT Madras, Utara University of Malaysia, and BITS Pilani.

He pursues questions of equity, efficiency, and risk protection in the Indian Health System through his research projects, funded by organizations like DFID, Rockefeller Foundation, World Health Organization, and Access Health International. He is a published author in referred journals like Journal of Health Management, BMC Public Health, Journal of Health Research, The Journal of Economic Asymmetries, International Journal for Equity in Health, etc. He is an active public policy expert and has been a member of various committees and expert groups of the Government of India.

Prof. Mukund R. Dixit

Professor (Retd), IIM Ahmedabad

Prof. Mukund R. Dixit was a faculty at IIMA from 9th April 1981 to 30th November 2016. He held a PhD from IIT Kanpur. Prior to joining IIMA, he worked in the Corporate Planning division of HMT, a large diversified company in India.

He has written cases and published papers in the field of strategic management. His teaching, research and consulting areas are Corporate and Competitive strategies, Taking Charge and Leading Strategy, Innovation and Knowledge Management, and Case Method of Learning. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of Private and Public Sector Undertakings in India. He was the Editor of Vikalpa, IIMAs Journal for Decision Makers.

He was an EEC visiting professor in the Euro-India Cooperation Programme at ESSEC, Paris and Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands. He also taught in Multi Media University, Malaysia. He has coordinated management development programmes for top and senior managers in India and abroad.

Prof. Deepak Kumar Sinha

Professor, Shiv Nadar University

Prof. Deepak Kumar Sinha did his engineering from BIT Sindri, PGDM from IIM Calcutta, and Ph.D. from MIT Sloan School of Management.

He has worked in industry and consulting, both in public and private sector organizations in India and has taught for more than three decades at leading business schools in India and abroad. He taught at Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University, and at Hong Kong Baptist University, before moving to IIM Bangalore where he spent nearly two decades. He is currently Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the School of Management & Entrepreneurship, Shiv Nadar University.

He has published several articles in leading journals in management and economics including Management Science, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Macroeconomics, Southern Journal of Economics, and Journal of Economics. His current research interests include theoretical and empirical work in the areas of corporate diversification, investment in productivity, and quality.

Prof. Ganesh N. Prabhu

Professor, IIM Bangalore

Prof. Ganesh N. Prabhu is Professor of Strategy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). His areas of research and teaching are product innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship. He has held positions at IIMB of Chairperson, Post Graduate Program for two years, Chairperson Career Development Services for four years and Chairperson, Placement for three and half years at IIMB.

He is a doctorate of the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmadabad with specialization in strategy. He has conducted top management workshops on business strategy and product innovation and has led visioning workshops for top management teams of several small firms.

He is a post graduate in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand and has a bachelor degree in physics from Bombay University (Elphinstone College). Prior to his doctoral studies he held executive positions for two years in the National Dairy Development Board where for some time he worked as an executive assistant to the CEO implementing a major turnaround assignment in Punjab.
