Dr Shobhana Madhavan is Professor Emeritus to the University of Westminster, London,and Jean Monnet Professor. She is an economist with substantial experience of teaching and research in the areas of development, technology, transportation and the environment. She combined her teaching responsibilities with consultancies in the UK and abroad. Her research includes a pioneering study, using original survey data, of rural travel and transport in Karnataka, India. She has published papers on technology transfer, environment, and the Indian automobile industry. She has co-authored a book on European Economic Integration and Sustainable Development. She was specialist advisor to the House of Lords, UK, advising on promotion of small and medium enterprises in Europe. Dr Madhavan was the organiser of an international conference on HIV/AIDS and Business in September 2006, in which renowned experts from business, medicine, and the health sector assisted in the development of new perspectives for shaping business strategies for combating the epidemic. She is currently a member of the International Sustainable Development Research Society and is a member of the editorial board of Sustainable Development. Her professional qualifications include Chartered Membership of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK.

Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan is Director and Professor of Strategy at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Professor Krishnan’s main areas of interest are strategy and innovation. He was a visiting scholar at the Centre for the Advanced Study of India, University of Pennsylvania (Fall 2008), and at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad (2011-12).

He held the Jamuna Raghavan Chair in Entrepreneurship at IIMB from 2007-10. Prof. Krishnan’s has been studying and researching the links between strategy and innovation for more than 20 years. In November 2010, Prof. Krishnan received the Dewing Mehta Award for Best Teacher in Strategic Management.

Prof. Krishnan’s book "From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India," identified the challenges faced by India in enhancing industrial innovation and proposed an agenda to enhance innovation output.

He has served on a number of committees set up by the Government of India, NASSCOM, and CII related to innovation in India. Prof. Krishnan is a trustee of the Foundation for Excellence India Trust (www.ffe.org), an organization committed to helping economically underprivileged and academically talented students complete their higher education through one of India’s largest scholarship programmes.

Prof. Shailendra Singh is the Director of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Prior to that, he was the Dean (Research) and a Professor (HAG) in the area of Human Resource Management at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. He has also served as the President (2013-14) and has been elected as a Fellow (2018) of National Academy of Psychology India.

Prof. Singh earned MA in Psychology from the University of Allahabad and Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour from IIT Kanpur. His Ph.D. Dissertation titled "Executives under Stress: Explorations in the Structure and Dynamics" won Indian Council of Social Science Research Publication Grant Award.

He has more than 34 years of vast and varied experience in research, teaching, training, administration and consultancy post his Ph.D. Prof. Singh has delivered various lectures, presentations and keynote addresses at premier universities, institutes and business schools around the world which include IITs, IIMs, IIITs, NITs, NLUs, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, University of Cambridge (UK), Aston Business School (UK), University of Kelaniya (Sri Lanka) to name a few.

Dr. Krishna Kumar is Former Director of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), the sixth and the youngest IIM established by the government of India in 1996. An Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, Dr. Kumar is also a Fellow (Ph.D.) in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has about 30 years’ experience, 15 years in industry and 15 years in academics.

Dr. Kumar joined IIM Lucknow in the formative years, where he has been member of IIML's Board of Governors, Chairman Postgraduate Programme, Chairman, Business Policy and Finance Group, Chairman Placement and member of several important committees of the institute. Dr. Kumar has been a Visiting Fellow at ESADE, Barcelona and has played an important role in creating international linkages of IIML. He is a founder member and presently Secretary of Strategic Management Forum.

Dr. Kumar has been extensively involved in teaching, training, research, and consulting for the past 20 years. He has written over 50 case studies and papers and published 3 books. He has done consulting for several organizations like NABARD, Hindustan Latex, UP Sugar Corporation & Federations, etc.

Robert D. Hisrich, Ph.D., former Director of the Walker Center of Global Entrepreneurship at Thunderbird School of Global Management, received his B.A. in English and Science from DePauw University and his MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in marketing from the University of Cincinnati. Hisrich also holds honorary doctorate degrees from Chuvash State University (Russia) and the University of Miskolc (Hungary).

His global experience includes being a visiting and honorary professor at more than eight universities in six different countries. Dr. Hisrich has authored or co-authored 36 books, including International Entrepreneurship: Starting, Developing, and Managing a Global Venture (3rd edition) to be published in late February by Sage Publications. His other books include Corporate Entrepreneurship, Technology Entrepreneurship: Value Creation, Protection, and Capture (2nd edition), Governpreneurship: Establishing a Thriving Entrepreneurial Spirit in Your Government, Entrepreneurship: Starting, Developing, and Managing a New Enterprise (translated into thirteen languages and now in its ninth edition), Entrepreneurial Finance: A Global Perspective and Marketing for Entrepreneurs and SMEs: An International Approach .

Hisrich has written more than 300 articles on entrepreneurship, international business management, and marketing, which have appeared in such journals as The Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, American Psychologist, California Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research.

Dr. Sahay is a professor of strategic management and Dean (research) at BIMTECH. His teaching and research interests are in the area of Strategic Management, M&A, Strategic Alliance & JV, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and CSR.

He has published more than 120 articles in leading academic business publications. Prof. Sahay has reputation of being a Turnaround Manager, Corporate Entrepreneur, Researcher and an educator par excellence. In his earlier assignment as Chairman & Managing Director, SIL, he played the lead role not only in turnaround of the company but in creating new products and processes for national and international markets. and an Institution Builder. Prof. Sahay has been a lead consultant for various projects sponsored by the European Union, Govt. of India and Corporates.

Dr Joanna Karmowska

Joanna is a Sociologist, using insights from her host discipline to advance the study of organisations. She gained her PhD in Sociology from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland; her doctoral thesis concerned the social implications of the promotion of historic cities. She has also undertaken executive education at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Her main focus of academic as well as consultancy work has been on international aspects of organisations.

She has held visiting academic positions in Ireland, France, Portugal, Spain, the UK and the US. Joanna has also worked in managerial roles in business, for example as project manager for international ventures and as HR Director in a financial institution. Her experience in international business now informs her teaching and research.

Dr. Arun Kumar Rath is an Adjunct Professor in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Area at IIM Nagpur. Prior to this, Dr. Rath was associated with IIM Trichy as Adjunct Professor and worked as Professor and Dean at IMI New Delhi/Bhubaneswar. Prof. Rath also worked as Dean & Chairman, Public Policy and Governance at MDI Gurgaon and as a member of the IAS in the central and state governments.

Dr. Rath has published number of research articles in the areas of corporate governance, CSR and sustainability. He has published a book “Towards Better Corporate Governance: Independent Directors in the Boardroom”. He has done consultancy assignments with Dept. of Public Enterprises, Govt. of India. Dr. Rath has trained over 200 CEOs and Directors of companies and over 500 international executives/officials of over hundred countries in the various programmes.

Dr. Rath received the Odisha Living Legend Award in 2013 and D.Litt. honoris causa in 2017 for his contribution to corporate governance and education. He was also recipient of “Fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science” Montreal in February 2020 for his significant contribution. Dr. Rath is Distinguished Fellow of Institute of Directors and Fellow of AIMA, New Delhi.
