Message from Director, IIM Nagpur

The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has set up a Centre of Excellence for Corporate Governance CSR & Sustainability(CGCS) to serve as a premier resource center for promoting good governance, social responsibility and sustainable development of corporate enterprises and state-owned public organizations. The objectives of the CoE are to meet the needs of organizations and enterprises in the areas of corporate governance, social responsibility, ethics and sustainable development. The CoE will promote global standards and best-practices of corporate governance, strategic management, innovative governance practices, board dynamics, corporate leadership, enterprise risk management in public organizations and business corporations.

The CoE will organize national and international conferences, seminars, round tables, management development programs, guest lecturers, and other similar events on the above subjects and undertake training, orientation and evaluation of CEOs, Directors, Independent Directors and other executives and managers of public sector undertakings, corporates as well as other organizations.

We shall associate members of our faculty and invite eminent persons from industry and academia to share their expertise and experience in supporting the various programs and activities of the Centre.

I am confident, the Centre will blossom into a national Centre of eminence in the field of corporate governance, CSR and sustainability.
