Md. Musharrof Hossain is the award winning internationally renowned HR professional and speaker who is the recipient of numerous national and international awards including the “Lifetime HR Achievement Award 2013” from Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM),“Lifetime Achievement Award 2017” from the World HRD Congress and “Global HR Leader Award 2017” from the Malaysian Institute of Human Resources Management. He earned his Masters in Continuing Education major in HR Leadership and OD from the University of Calgary, Canada. He is also a PhD Scholar. Currently, he is the Head, Human Resources Management, icddr,b. Mr. Hossain is the Founder President of the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO). He is the past President of the Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM) and the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management (APFHRM). He served as the board member of the World Federation of People Management Association from 2014 to 2019.

Mr. Hossain is one of the Editorial Advisory Board Members of the South Asian Journal for Human Resources Management (SAJHRM) which is the first journal in this kind by the Griffith University, Australia and Sage Publication. He also served as the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management HR Professional Award Committee. He also served as the member of International Jury Board Member for Great HR Leaders Award. Mr. Hossain is also the Adjunct Professor of Human Resources in the MBA program of few leading universities in Bangladesh and beyond for last 20 years. He regularly delivers lecture in different national and international seminars/conferences on human resources. Mr. Hossain has delivered keynote presentations in over 50 national and international conferences and seminars. He regularly participates in “Talk Show” on emerging Human Resources Management and Development related issues in different television channels in Bangladesh

Prof. Dr. Akbar Hussain

Dr. Akbar Hussain is a Professor at Department of Anthropology, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his Ph. D. in Anthropology from University of Tsukuba, Japan, 2001.

He did his MA in Anthropology from University of Tsukuba, Japan, 1998 He did his Master of Social Science (MSS) from Jahangirnagar University, 1990 and did his Bachelor of Social Science (BSS Honours) from Jahangirnagar University, 1989 He has been teaching at Jahangirnagar University (Dept. of Anthropology) since 1993 - onward He also taught at York University, Canada (Part-time) from 2009 to 2014 and at University of Tsukuba, Japan, (Part-time) from 2005 to 2008. He has an experiences of total 28 years at Teaching and Research.

Dr. Joarder has started his teaching career in 2003 as a lecturer of a Business School of International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology-IUBAT located in Dhaka after completing a double Masters in Business Education from Australian universities in 2002. After a successful academic journey, currently Dr. Joarder is serving as a Professor of Human Resource Management in the Business School of United International University (UIU) located in Dhaka. Prior to this achievement in the career, Dr. Joarder earned doctorate degree (PhD) degree from one of the top Malaysian Management Eminent University in 2012 in the field of HRM. While studying PhD program, Dr. Joarder was the graduate teaching and research fellow in the College of Business of Universiti Utara Malaysia-UUM in 2009/2010. After completing the extraordinary leave for PhD program, Dr. Joarder came back to UIU again and started teaching different courses in the field of HRM. In addition to regular teaching responsibilities at UIU, Dr. Joarder has been serving as the Director of the Institute of Business and Economic Research-IBER for more than three and half years, supervising the regular daily activities of the Institute. It is important to note that prior to serving IBER as the Director, Dr. Joarder has also served Academic Program Director for BBA and BBA in AIS programs for about 2 years under the School of Business and Economics.

Dr. Joarder has successfully performed both academic and administrative activities for more than 17 years including international teaching experience. Precisely, to highlight about the work diversity, Dr. Joarder has worked in different private universities in various capacities along with foreign university teaching experience. To be more specific, Dr. Joarder has served as the visiting scholar at the Universiti Utara Malaysia in Malaysia for more than 2 years. Apart from teaching experiences in the universities home and abroad, Dr. Joarder has successfully supervised a significant number of Masters and PhD students while he was serving Universiti Utara Malaysia. He was also invited as reviewers in many sessions for Masters and PhD students in their final thesis presentations. To add further, Dr. Joarder has been nominated as a session chair in several times. Regarding research and publications, Dr. Joarder has a good number of research publications in the reputed journals around the worlds. To highlight some of the major publications, about 50 articles publication within last 5years. A significant numbers of the articles are published mainly in the scopus and peer reviewed international journals.

Dr.  Khadiza Rahman Tanchi

Khadiza Rahman Tanchi is a young, energetic and emerging scholar in the field of human resource management. She has been teaching HR related courses in university level during last 7+ years. Now, she is the Founder Directors, Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO), Dhaka. She did BBA and MBA from University of Dhaka, Department of Management (Major in HRM); she also has completed the first part of M.Phill from the same department. However, recently she has been awarded Doctorate Degree by the Senate of Dhaka University. She is flourishing her write up in different publications. She has also attended many conferences, seminars, and workshops in national level. Currently, she is serving as the Associate Professor in the School of Business of Daffodil International University, Dhaka.

Prof. Dr. Hamidul Huq

At present, Dr. Huq is serving as the Professor and Director of the Institute of Development Studies and Sustainability (IDSS) of United International University (UIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Hamidul Huq has specialization in the areas of sustainable livelihoods, integrated coastal zone management, integrated water resources management, disaster management, ecosystem services, poverty alleviation, Sustainable Development, and Interdisciplinary Research and Education. Prof. Huq has a Masters with Honours in Social Welfare from University of Dhaka in 1976, and a PhD in Rural Development Sociology from Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands in 2000. His PhD dissertation was titled “People’s Practices: Exploring contestation, counter-development, and rural livelihoods”. Prof. Huq has been engaged in collaborative interdisciplinary education and research projects on ecosystem services, disaster management, and Integrated Water Resources Management, Solar Home Systems, sustainable livelihoods. Prof. Huq has 25 years of working experience in leading NGOs. He organizes International Conference on Sustainable Development in every February since 2017 at UIU.

Dr. Baqui Khalily is Executive Director of the Institute of Microfinance. He was formerly Professor of Finance at the University of Dhaka. Educated in Dhaka, he received his Msc degree and PhD in Agricultural Economics with major in Rural Finance and Banking from the Ohio State University, USA. He has been teaching at the Department of Finance in the Faculty of Business Studies of University of Dhaka since 1975. His research areas include financial markets, sustainability analysis, rural finance, microcredit, entrepreneurship development, corporate governance and capital market. He was the founding Executive Director of the Institute of Microfinance (InM), Bangladesh. Currently, he is serving as a Professor at the Department of Business Administration of University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. Md. Abdul Jabbar is a Professor of the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka (DU) since June 2013. He started his career as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, DU in November 2000. He was promoted as an Assistant Professor in October 2003 and Associate Professor in November 2009. Professor Jabbar was awarded MONBUSHO scholarship and obtained his Doctorate degree (D.Eng) in March 2000 in Material Science and Engineering from Tokushima University, Japan. He was a research fellow in the Pusan National University, S. Korea in 2003. He also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Kyushu University under NEDO (Jointly funded by NISSAN, Japan) program from 2005 to 2007.

He was awarded JASSO fellowship in 2016 for Follow-up Research. He delivered welcome lecture in the promotional symposium of Tokushima University, Japan during the graduation ceremony in the year 2018. His research interest includes Electroorganic Synthesis, Analytical Electrochemistry, Biosensors and Environmental Electrochemistry. He has one book chapter (Springer-Verlag, Electroreduction, Eds. Sigeru Torri), one patent (No.JP2006-170199) and 33 international and national peer-reviewed articles. He presented 25 of his research articles in different national and international conferences. He supervised 15 undergraduate projects students and 13 graduate thesis students. Presently, he is supervising three Ph.D students. His researches are funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, University Grants Commission (UGC) and Dhaka University special research allocation for teachers under UGC. He is nominated as the General Secretary of Tokushima University, Alumni Association of Bangladesh (2019-22). He is a member of the executive committee of Bangladesh Chemical Society. He is current executive editor of the leading Chemistry journal, Journal of Bangladesh Chemical Society (JBCS).

Dr. Anwar Hossen is Professor of Sociology Department, University of Dhaka-Bangladesh and is a co-editor of Brill Journal, Bandung: Journal of the Global South. He received PhD on anthropology in 2014 from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Canada. His PhD research project title was Water Policy and Governance for the Empowerment of River Basin Communities in Rural Bangladesh, awarded as the best project in 2010 and thus he was the recipient of Nehru Humanitarian Award 2010 at UBC. Based on this research project, he also received International Development Research Center (IDRC) Canada doctoral research award in 2011-12. In addition to this PhD, he completed Master of Art (MA) from Carleton University, Canada in 2009. His MA dissertation focuses on climate change issues, Natural Disaster, Inequality, and Vulnerability: A Case Study in Rural Bangladesh. He has twenty three year teaching and research experiences in four major universities in Bangladesh and Canada. In Canada, he worked as research and teaching assistants in addition to sessional lecturer during his studies at Carleton University and the University of British Columbia in 2006-2014. In Bangladesh, Dr. Hossen served as a Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, ShahJalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet in 1998-2003. Since 2003, he is a faculty member of Sociology Department, University of Dhaka.

He is also active in international collaborative research. As an example, he is Lead Researcher of the project, Deltas, vulnerability and Climate Change: Migration and Adaptation (DECCMA) funded by IDRC (Canada) and DFID (UK) implemented in Bangladesh, India, Ghana, and United Kingdom. He presented research findings in the United States of America, Canada, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Qatar, South Korea, and Bangladesh. Dr. Hossen published his research outcomes regularly at international level: e.g., Asiatic Society, Brill, Routledge, Sustainability and Springer, and at national level: e.g., Social Science Review. In 2017, for example, Dr. Hossen published a book entitled Water Policy and Governance in South Asia: Empowering rural communities with Routledge: London and New York. In 2020, Dr. Hossen contributed as the Guest Editor on the issue, Sustainable Development for Environmental Sustainability in the Global South, under the Brill publication house Leiden, The Netherlands. In addition to his publication tract record, he reviews research reports, government documents, and journal articles regularly at national and international levels. Since 2018, he is a Founding Advisor, Institute of Development Studies and sustainability (IDSS), United International University (UIU). In 2021, Dr. Hossen is appointed as an Academic Adviser of National Defence College in Dhaka. He is a member of American Sociological Association and International Sociological Association. His research interests focus on water governance, river bank communities, sustainable development, climate change, agricultural communities, social development, human rights, local movements, and the Ganges-Brahmaputra Basin in South Asia. Dr. S. M. Alauddin

M. Alauddin, PhD is trained in social sciences Graduation (1983) and Masters (1984) in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. Later, did another professional Masters in Development Studies (2010) with major in Development Management and completed his PhD in Social Anthropology (2017) under the Department of Anthropology of Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. His subject of doctoral research was ‘Community Resilience in Disaster Risks Management and Policy Implications- an Anthropological Study in the Central Floodplains of Bangladesh.

Mr. Alauddin has been working in the field of socioeconomic development research/studies/evaluation for about the last 30 years and as Adjunct Faculty with a number of reputed Private Universities since 2019. During the course of his professional career, Mr. Alauddin has developed interests and specialization in designing of development and research/study/evaluation proposals and their field implementation; participatory strategic planning and project management; policy advocacy (research evidenced based) and influencing; and experiences of coordinating, managing and working in multi-dimensional teams and environment with community and partnership approaches.

Mr. Alauddin has developed professional interests with specialization in the areas of social development; Environment/NRM, resilience in disaster risk management (household, community and institutional levels) including disaster risks/vulnerability assessment and action planning for implementation;  social safeguard/resettlement; public health issues; and poverty, livelihoods and food security; institutional capacity building; policy advocacy/influencing; learning and best practices documentation and knowledge management, etc. In the course of his professional tenure, he has worked for about a dozen of national and international research/development organizations and served for various organizations i.e. different Ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, UN Organizations, WB, ADB, DANIDA, DFID (ukAid) along with other national and international organizations. During this period, he has conducted about 70 research/studies/evaluations independently and jointly with national and international teams in Bangladesh (mainly) and abroad and having a good number of publications in journals, newspapers, book along with a good number blogs on different development issues.

Dr. Mohammad Moshiur Rahman

Dr. Mohammad Moshiur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Management (ESM) at North South University with research interests in groundwater chemistry, water quality, and reactive transport modeling of hydrogeochemical processes of groundwater contamination. He has been teaching at North South University since September 2010. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Water Resources from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He has firsthand experiences in conducting field studies and reactive transport modeling of Subsurface Arsenic Removal (SAR) in Bangladesh as a doctoral researcher in the NWO-WOTRO project (2010-2015) of `Safe drinking water in Bangladesh: an integrated framework assessing acceptability, social-technological feasibility, and sustainability of hand-pump subsurface arsenic removal in diverse settings of rural Bangladesh.’ Dr. Rahman obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Environmental Geosciences from the Department of Earth and Environmental Science at Queens College, City University of New York, USA. He has over 15 years of relevant work experience as an environmental researcher in Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and the USA. He has published 18 articles in international peer-reviewed journals with 690 citations.
