Prof. Vikas Singh is a senior academic, management educator and corporate leader with over 25 years of experience spanning strategy, leadership, banking and financial services, technology, manufacturing, energy and management consulting. His career brings together senior corporate leadership, academia, executive education and consulting, giving him a distinctive practitioner-scholar perspective on leadership, organisations and business performance.
He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and a Senior Fellow at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRDI), Government of Telangana.
He has earlier served as a Professor at the Institute of Public Enterprise and the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Delhi. He is the Co-Founder & President of Crux Management Services Pvt. Ltd. where his work extends to strategy, leadership, capability development, organisational performance.
Prof Singh is also the member the Founding council of The Institute for Sustainable Cities & Responsible Enterprises - a Global South Centre of Excellence connecting urban systems with capital, enterprise, and green growth across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
A distinctive strand of his research is the Influencing Style Framework, a behavioural leadership framework developed by Prof. Singh to understand how individuals influence others across different organisational and situational contexts. The framework examines how influencing styles shape leadership effectiveness, stakeholder relationships, negotiation, collaboration and organisational outcomes.
His research on inclusive growth examines how economic growth can widen access to income, employment and human capital. His work on Universal Basic Income explores income security as a means of strengthening economic participation, reducing vulnerability and enabling individuals to invest in their capabilities.
His broader research and writing interests include leadership, strategy, organisational effectiveness, human capital, technology, financial services and public policy. He has written more than 350 articles and opinion pieces, including contributions to Scopus-indexed journals, and writes extensively on the Indian economy, management, technology, leadership and institutional effectiveness.
His teaching focuses on leadership, strategy, governance, organisational performance and effectiveness. Drawing on extensive corporate and academic experience, he helps leaders connect strategic choices with organisational execution, strengthen institutional effectiveness and deliver sustained performance.
Prof. Singh has extensive experience in executive education, having delivered more than 200 leadership and management development programmes for senior corporate leaders and officers of the All-India Services. His sector experience spans banking and financial services, manufacturing, telecom, oil & gas and technology. He brings academic rigour and real-world experience into the classroom, with a focus on developing strategic judgement, leadership effectiveness and the ability to convert complex challenges into better organisational decisions and outcomes.

Earlier corporate leadership experience includes the founding team of SHV Energy India & South Asia, Head of Corporate Planning at Ultratech, and leadership of the manufacturing vertical at TCS.
