Apoorv Khare is an Associate Professor in the Marketing Management area at IIM Nagpur. Apoorv obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in Marketing area. He holds a bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H. S. Gaur University, Sagar, MP. He did his MBA from Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, MP. He has previously worked at IIM Tiruchirappalli. Before joining PhD, Apoorv worked for eight years in Pharmaceutical and Banking sectors in various roles in Sales and Marketing. His broad research interests lie in socio-cultural aspects of consumption and markets and informal markets. His research has been published in reputed journals such as Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Philosophy of Management. His teaching interests are in the areas of Sales and Distribution Management, Marketing to the Base of the Pyramid Consumers, Marketing Semiotics, and Qualitative Marketing Research.
