Recent Achievements

We have a liberal attitude, are casual in our communications, but refuse to compromise on our ethics. We the students at IIM Nagpur are encouraged to have opinions and make independent decisions at every walk. Step by step, we are creating a niche for ourselves, that is ‘excellence’.

The IIMN students are always enthusiastic about new initiatives, co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities. We students are active participants in all decisions pertaining to students and the institute. Through clubs, forums and events, the students get the opportunity of informal faculty-student interaction, community service, social welfare, social harmony among others.

Along with rigorous academic training, we are encouraged to pursue innovative co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Participation in various competitions, quiz contests and activities outside the campus helps us with developing leadership qualities and experience group ethics. We have competed among the best business schools and won many competitions.

PGP students of IIM Nagpur participated in the Annual Sports Fest of IIM Indore, Ranbhoomi, where they brought laurels and made the IIM Nagpur community proud. Winners across sporting events are as follows:

IIM Nagpur Students Win Regionals at Tata Crucible Campus Quiz

Rishav Raj and Aditya Prakash from PGP18-20 were adjudged Regional Winners Nagpur at the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz. The team has now qualified for the Zonal finals to be conducted at Hyderabad where they would be competing with other Regional Winners for a position in the National Finals.

IIMN Students Make a Mark at Fusionen Meister, IIM Trichy

Srikar Maddula, Ayushman Banerjee and Ajith Saparey of the PGP Batch of 2019-21 finished second at the event Fusionen Meister 2020 organized by IIM Trichy. The three-round event, conducted by the Finance and Investment Cell, consisted of an online quiz, a midcap company stock research and valuation, and the final round, held on-campus at IIM Trichy, wherein participants made a presentation on the stock valuation and recommendation for chosen organizations. The team from IIM Nagpur stood second among 886 teams that participated in the competition from all over the country. Our congratulations to the winners!
RBI Policy Challenge 2018

RBI Policy Challenge 2018

IIM Nagpur team comprising Rishav Raj, Jason D’silva, Kushal Gangar and Yash Thakur secured the 2nd runner-up prize in the national round of RBI Policy Challenge 2018 under the mentorship of Prof. Deeparghya Mukherjee. The team reached to the national round by winning zonal and regional rounds in which several premier institutes participated such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Indore, IIM Raipur and TISS Mumbai. The team made its way to the final out of 216 initial participants across reputed educational institutions of the country. The team was given a topic titled ‘Normalisation in Advanced Economies: Implications for India.’ & they presented monetary and liquidity recommendations before a distinguished jury comprising Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Advisor, Govt. of India; Pranjul Bhandari, Chief India Economist, HSBC; and Amartya Lahiri, Director, CAFRAL, Mumbai. The team received the prize from Mr. Viral Acharya, Deputy Governor, RBI.

Tata Crucible – The Campus Quiz – 2018

IIM Nagpur Students Karim Baig and Shikhar Bhardwaj secured the Regional Runners-up position at the Tata Crucible – The Campus Quiz – 2018 held at Nagpur. 'Tata Crucible - The Business Quiz' seeks to bring together sharpest young corporate minds in India to take on the heat of the toughest business quiz in India. Youth is a key audience cluster which the Tata Group is focusing its communication at and Tata Crucible is one of the key initiatives towards this engagement. IIM Nagpur students had secured prizes in the regional level in its previous editions also.

Reliance – The Ultimate Pitch 3.0

Team Planateers of IIM Nagpur comprising Sameer Bhajni, Sourabh Patil and Prasanna Dharkar became the Zone 4 Winners of The Ultimate Pitch 3.0 and was selected to contest in the National Level Finals. The Ultimate Pitch is a strategic elevator pitch contest to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and it included around 40 premier business schools across all the zones.

YES Bank Transformation Series – 2017

YES Bank Transformation Series is one of India's largest case study competition for B-School students across the world. It consisted of four different case study series addressing issues in FINTECH space. IIM Nagpur team comprising of Prasanna Dharkar, Sameer Bhajni and Sourabh Patil were winners of Intelip case study and was selected among Top 50 teams from 26850 participants across the country.

Bonjour India 2017 House of the Moon

In an attempt to restore the French buildings of the yore, French Embassy and Institut Francais consulted the students of IIM Nagpur through the ‘Know Your Indo-French Heritage project’, organized by Aishwariya Tipnis, founder of ATA Architecture. IIM Nagpur students (Omshree Sawant, Sreeram Sakkhari, Viswanath Sharabu, Gaurav Agarwal) visited Chandernagore, the town which housed French colonial empire and remaining of the French buildings. The IIM students, each led a group of students from the Jadavpur University and the architecture school from Confluence, Lyon. The groups brainstormed sustainable solutions for the dilapidated Registry buildings and the IIM students converted the ideas into a business model on four sustainable solutions of lodging, restaurant, hospital and library which are presented to the eminent guest from the Chandernagore Community.
