MarX, the marketing club of IIM Nagpur, through club activities aims at connecting marketing concepts to real-world applications and being a resource for students looking to pursue a career in Marketing. The club also conducted an in-house event which compelled students to apply sales concepts practically. With an aim to connect industry and academia to bridge the gap between the two, the club got a privilege to host guest sessions by various industry experts. OPEX, the operations club at IIM Nagpur strives to foster interest in Operations Research and Supply Chain Management. It was established in the year 2015 by the inaugural batch of IIM Nagpur under the mentorship of Professor Chetan Soman (Faculty of Operations Management at IIM Ahmedabad). Since its inception, the club has organized events like Op-Timize, OpsGrapho, and Opwiz, etc. which were met with remarkable vigor and enthusiasm. Through these events, the club has tried to engage students and align their interests towards Operations Management and SCM. During the academic year 2020-21, the club signed an MoU with ISCEA ( International Supply Chain Education Alliance) and conducted the first-ever KPMG India's lean six sigma competency development workshop at the institute. The club currently has members from diverse backgrounds who bring valuable industry experience. OPEX also organized various guest sessions on an interactive forum with industry stalwarts to discuss industry paradigms and relevant trends. tHRive,The HR Club at IIM Nagpur was instituted in the 2019 with the principal objective to emulate and propagate the best practices in the domain of People Management in academic and professional capacities. The club aspires to become the conduit through which acquaintance with concepts of Human Resources Management can be developed that could later be translated into professional inspiration to contribute in the area. The group adopted the title tHRive - not merely as a wordplay but to also serve as a constant reminder of the indomitable human spirit having the ability to overcome the most adverse of circumstances. tHRive aims to provide an in-depth understanding of Human Resource Management (HRM) through industry interaction and knowledge enhancement. The Club supplements this by creating activities and competitions involving concepts and applications from OB & HR, ensuring interactive learning of different aspects of HRM. In addition, the Club enables HR enthusiasts to learn from industry professionals through multiple guest sessions and workshops. The HR Club is the only club that creates Podcast at IIM Nagpur, “HReflections,” covering contemporary topics around people management.
