Dr. O P Goel is a distinguished corporate leader and dedicated academic with over 40 years of robust management experience in leading Indian and multinational corporations. His expertise spans Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Sustainability, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship. As an experienced trainer, consultant, and strategist, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of knowledge in his field and fostered a stimulating learning environment for students. Dr. Goel's leadership has been instrumental in shaping impactful social initiatives, training programs, and strategic academic policies, underscoring his commitment to excellence and societal impact.

Dr. Goel has made significant contributions to research and publication, including books and papers that address critical issues in training, development, and the Indian automotive market. His notable works include:

  • "Training and Development as a Tool to Increase Customer Satisfaction in the Indian Automotive Market" published in IJTD Journal.
  • "Indian Automotive Aftermarket Study Book" for ACMA, which provides a comprehensive analysis of the automotive aftermarket in India.
  • An ongoing study on "Graduate Employability and Emerging Skills in India," funded by the Commonwealth of Learning, Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. Goel has established himself as a leader in CSR and skill development, designing comprehensive training programs that enhance employability and workforce readiness. He pioneered the "BRIDGE" program, which scaled to 725 centers and trained 50,000 youth, and created a nationally recognized "train the trainer" program that certified over 2,000 trainers. His strategic consulting extends to roles as an advisor to the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), where he developed the PRIDE program, a unique initiative aimed at unemployed youth, and served on the Steering Committee of the Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Govt of India influencing national skilling policies.

Dr. O P Goel established and led the Bosch Business Training Academy in Singapore, the first regional training intervention outside Germany, aimed at enhancing the skills of 600 business managers across 20 countries, including Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and India. His strategic vision and leadership were instrumental in developing tailored training content that addressed diverse regional needs and was translated into multiple languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Thai. The academy's success attracted other German companies like ZF Steering, demonstrating the high quality and systemic approach of the training programs. His efforts significantly enhanced managerial capabilities, linked training outcomes to business performance, and established the academy as a benchmark for international corporate training excellence.

Dr. O P Goel is as faculty member at IIM Nagpur, where he brings his extensive industry experience into the classroom, particularly in executive education programs. He has taught senior management from organizations like Coal India Limited on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, delivering insights from a practitioner’s perspective. Additionally, he has imparted his knowledge to Mahatma Gandhi National Fellows, focusing on skill development and capacity building, demonstrating his commitment to developing the next generation of leaders. Training and Consulting

  • Advisor to the CEO, NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India: Conceptualized and implemented the PRIDE program, which trained and supported 100 skill entrepreneurs to start their own skill centers, significantly contributing to India's national skilling capacity.
  • Senior General Manager and Head of CSR, Bosch India: Managed a CSR budget exceeding INR 200 Crore and implemented the BRIDGE program, recognized by the Government of India for its impact on youth training and employment.

  • Member of the Board of Governors at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, where he influenced strategic decisions supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Chairman of the New Initiatives Committee at the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), where he launched a 'Train the Trainer' program focused on Human Rights and initiated a new CSR award.
