15th August 1947, a historic day in the history of Modern India. When the world was sleeping, India was fresh with energy, rising like a phoenix from the ashes of the Britishers rule. A lot of freedom fighters sacrificed their today for India’s tomorrow. It was the morning of 15th August 2019 when IIM Nagpur hoisted the tricolor to mark 73rd Independence Day celebration. Professor L.S. Murty, Director of IIM Nagpur, interacted with the security guards who make sure the campus is secure at all times, the professors who impart knowledge to the future corporate leaders of India and the student who always look forward to the words of wisdom and motivation from Director sir.
After the brief interaction, it was time for the cultural celebrations to begin on a stage where fear had no place and people had the freedom to express themselves to demonstrate the strength of India – UNITY IN DIVERSITY. The students participated in singing songs, reciting original poetic compositions, expressing their views in the form of extempore and dancing to the tunes of patriotism.
