IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mrs Anita Varshney (Global VP, Strategy SAP S/4HANA Sustainability, SAP) for a seminar series on Building Purpose-First Organizations, on 18th and 25th January 2021.
In the two comprehensive sessions on ‘Building Purpose First, Courageous Leaders: Setting the Right Leadership Tone at the Top’, and ‘Real Purpose Leaders: Setting our Responsible Business Strategies into Action’, Mrs Varshney elaborated on how businesses can inject a clear purpose into their operation, and incorporate a sustainable approach – with a special focus on accelerating UN Sustainable Development Goals – into their strategy. The sessions included illustrations of businesses that have taken concrete steps towards realising these objectives, as well as a segment wherein Mrs Varshney and IIMN students interacted and explored these approaches further.
Prof Vidhula Venugopal, Chairperson, Centre for Entrepreneurship, coordinated the seminar.
