“Mr. Sandeep Baid started the session by debunking some common misconceptions people have regarding their investment decisions. Further, discussing various asset classes, he emphasized the importance of asset allocation and the value of time in personal financial planning. He encouraged students to get to know their current financial situation, assess their risk appetite and start investing in a phased manner. He also highlighted that age should not be the only factor driving your risk profile; instead, past experiences and financial goals should also be considered. Mr. Baid concluded the session by adding that building investment acumen takes time and requires getting hands-on experience.
Towards the end, Mr. Baid also took on many questions from the batch and provided great information about various financial aspects such as bonds, REITs, ULIP, etc and encouraged students to try the same and gain first-hand experience.
