Predixion – The Analytics Club of IIM Nagpur was privileged to host Mr. Havish Madhvapaty, Founder of Havish M. Consulting. The topic of the session was to provide insights into Work Automation and Data Strategy in various organizations. The session started with understanding the importance of Excel and various new features that radically change and simplify the day-to-day work done using Excel. The focus then moved onto the automation of the tasks using Macros and Power query editor that are helpful in building efficient models. Emphasis was laid on the importance of building systems and architecture that focused on improving the efficiency of organizations. The speaker also shared his thoughts on being a ‘Swiss Army Knife’ – knowing a little bit of everything – that helps managers in improving the efficiency of the team. Power BI is a tool that provides power pivots and empowers us with the ability to perform analysis on the fly. It helps in delivering effective presentations and making informed decisions. The session was very interactive and not only helped the attendees in understanding what can be done for the improvement of efficiency but also demonstrated how to accomplish the former and enable automation in organizations.
