
Nagpur, June 07, 2024 | In honour of the upcoming World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2024, IIM Nagpur, under the aegis of its Armed Forces Business Management Programme and in coordination & assistance from the Nashikrao Tirpude Blood Centre Nagpur, organized a Blood Donation Camp in the Institute campus. Dr. Bhimraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, inaugurated the camp. The camp witnessed great success, with many donors volunteering and donating blood for the noble cause.
The patronage, presence, and motivation of Dr. Bhimraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, added significant value and motivation for the volunteers on this occasion, underscoring the importance of his role in this event.
The Blood Donation Camp saw an overwhelming response from the IIM Nagpur community. The enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, staff, and administrative personnel, all coming together, made it successful. This collective effort underscores the Institute’s commitment to social responsibility and community service, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility.
The volunteers of the Camp ensured the smooth operation of the Blood Donation Camp activity and provided necessary guidance and assistance to the donors. It thereby facilitated a seamless and efficient donation process.
The spirit of solidarity and altruism and IIM Nagpur’s dedication to contributing positively to societal health needs garnered 75 volunteers, including 02 females. The collected blood will significantly aid local medical facilities, potentially saving numerous lives in the region.
