The inauguration ceremony of the Doctoral Conference keynote started with lamp lighting ceremony. Dr. Bhimaraya Metri (Director, IIM Nagpur) welcomed all the guest speakers, faculties and Ph.D. scholars.
Dr. Bhimaraya Metri mentioned FLUID means liquid workforce. In today’s world, skilling, reskilling, and up-skilling is utmost important. The future belongs to perpetual learners. In this fluid world, the longevity of the research area is essential.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Subhash Sarin (Professor at Virginia Tech), mentioned that budding researchers are the future of India. He talked about how globally countries have invested in research and development compared to India. He emphasized that research is important, but one should focus on ‘quality research.’ Research topic and area are of paramount importance.
Padma Bhushan Dr. Mrityunjay Athreya talked about the area of management consulting in India, past growth, and future vision – 21st century. He mentioned that the key global and national management challenges are climate change, the China challenge of home and exports market, inclusive development, and upholding Dharma.
Keynote speaker Dr. Amit Waikar, MD, South East Asia, Dohler Group, Bangkok mentioned that “2023 is a year of millet”. This pandemic is a big turning point in India. Research scholars should look at what health benefits we can drive from this opportunity. Companies should not only focus on talking innovation but on driving innovation.
