IIM Nagpur inaugurated the first batch of the PG Certificate Programme – Financial Technologies (FTP) on Sunday. Mr Atul Mehta (Senior Vice President of Sales, Razorpay) delivered the inaugural address at the occasion.
The event was attended by IIMN Director Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Executive Education Chair Prof Atul Pathak, Programme Coordinators Prof Kinshuk Saurabh and Prof Nilesh Gupta, EEP Manager Mr Baskaran Nagappan, Dr Sanjay Salunkhe (CEO, Jaro Education) as well as participants of the programme, and the staff and faculty of IIM Nagpur.
Addressing the participants, Mr Mehta congratulated the participants for the journey of learning that they were about to begin, expressing his enthusiasm for learning and upgrading one’s skills in a perpetual cycle. He explained how financial technology is primarily about making transactions easier and more accessible for the customers. He elaborated how users are willing to pay for services that offer them good value, and how every venture should strive to simplify everyday bottlenecks for their stakeholders. On a concluding note, Mr Mehta echoed Dr Bhimaraya Metri’s thoughts about cultivating a reading habit – sharing insights from some of his favourite books and exhorting participants to try and read more from all disciplines.
