IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr. Brijesh Prabhakar, VP – New Ways of Working & Ms. Archana Joshi Head – New Ways of Working – Transformation, at Larsen & Toubro Infotech. for another amazing session as a part of our flagship leadership Webinar Series -VIHAAN 2.0. The theme of the discussion was “Sustainable IT in a Post Pandemic World”.
The speakers commenced the session by outlining sustainable IT and the actions that firms are taking to incorporate it into their work. The discussion then moved on to how the IT industry was booming even in smaller cities as people relocated their workplaces to their homes due to the new work-from-home office environment. The speakers then explained that pandemics like these help develop true business opportunities and give lateral thinkers a chance to explore new ideas and implement them. They also talked about the vast amount of energy used in the IT sector and organizations’ responsibility to reduce the digital carbon footprint.
The conversation ended with the thought-provoking idea of being aware of your choices and making wise decisions for IT to be sustainable and for us as a society to be more responsible for a better future.
