IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr Randeep Sudan (Founder, Multiverz) as a Keynote Speaker for the Orientation Programme for PGP 2021-23. The topic of his address was ‘Preparing Yourself for the FLUID World’.
Mr Sudan has been instrumental in catapulting Hyderabad to the status of a global BPO hub as an IAS officer, and has since advised many governments on digital economy and policy issues. After a long stint with the IAS and World Bank, he established Multiverz, a social enterprise leveraging data analytics and AI for helping clients anticipate and navigate an uncertain future. In his address, Mr Sudan laid before the students the myriad challenges that face managers in the near future, such as climate change, overpopulation, labour market fluctuations due to developments in AI and robotics, political instability around the world and the rise of right-wing extremism. While technology was the enabler of many of these issues, Mr Sudan said, it was also the judicious employment of technology, along with an objective, humane approach that could offer solutions in an uncertain world. He also advised the students to cultivate personal networks and relationships that could act as their anchor in an environment with shifting contexts.
