Swaviskaar – The Arts Community of IIM Nagpur was privileged to host an interactive Guest Session by the Prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awardee, Mr. Basanta Singha Roy, as part of the interaction series Prabodhan 2.0 for IIMN students.
The topic for the session was: Passion and Profession with an unswayed determination.
Being a banker and an avid traveler, he shared his incomparable experiences during his climbing expeditions of Mount Everest (8,850m) in 2010 and Kanchenjunga (8,586m) in 2011, as well as other more than twenty-five peaks in the Himalayas, despite adversities.
He came with a very simple yet effective message: If success is the fruit & hard work is the watering done on the plant, then planning must be the seed.
His valuable insights will definitely help to inculcate in management students the art of conquering the target despite challenges, as well as will motivate them to follow passion along with the profession and get them to complement each other.
