IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Ms. Aparna Shailen, Global Head for B-school strategy and engagement and the global recruitment marketing head for Wipro’s Strategic Hiring group. The discussion was centred around the current CoViD19 scenario from the perspective of both organizations and employees. At the commencement of the discussion, the story of six blind men who touch the same object to yield different results was told. This analogy inspired us to look for the best perspectives, for the tough road ahead. The critical aspect that came out of the forum was to balance life and livelihood by taking lessons from history. It was followed by a brief study on the evolving business models, and the substantial part technology is playing in this process. One of the primary examples was how organisations are concentrating on after-sales service by leveraging technology. We also gained an insight into how Wipro is tackling the situation for both its employees and community, with resoluteness. It concluded with a focus on three pillars for individuals to reflect, reset and re-energise.
