Finesse club, IIM Nagpur, was delighted to host Mr. Shrikant Koundinya, Assistant Vice President Market Development, MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange of India) for the Leadership Talk Series – FinTalks ’20. The topic of the session was “Hedging Through Commodity Derivatives.”The session was about the need for a commodity derivatives market and to increase awareness among students regarding the commodity derivatives market. Mr. Koundinya explained the hedging in futures contracts through Long and Short Hedging and the benefits of hedging. The session ended with questions from the students regarding the commodity derivatives and career prospects in the commodity market.
The session also marked the inauguration of MCX Comquest 2021, the third edition of the quiz on commodity derivatives organized by MCX IPF.
