The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) will inaugurate the Professional Management Practices (PMP) Course for the PGP batch of 2026-2028 on 27th July 2026.
The Professional Management Practices (PMP) is a unique three trimester experiential learning programme designed to develop students into true professionals through continuous self-reflection, competency development, mentoring, and field-based learning. Unlike conventional classroom courses, PMP emphasizes learning by doing, enabling students to translate theoretical concepts into practical behavioural competencies required by industry. The programme aims to nurture professionals who demonstrate accountability, integrity, self-discipline, and the ability to perform independently while creating value for organisations and society.
The programme will commence with an inaugural ceremony, featuring a welcome address by Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, followed by addresses by distinguished guest speakers CA. Hemant C. Lodha, Managing Director, SMS Envocare Ltd., and CA. Pranav Joshi, Director, Finance & Business Strategy, Tsecond Inc., and Partner, P.G. Joshi & Co., who will share their insights and experiences with the incoming PGP cohort.
The Professional Management Practice (PMP) programme is delivered through an integrated framework combining classroom learning, psychometric assessments, mentoring, reflective exercises, and field immersion. Guided by the philosophy of “Experimenting • Learning by Doing • Immersing Reflecting • Growing • Leading,” the programme equips students with the professional competencies, values, and behavioural skills required to become responsible and industry-ready management professionals.
