Predixion, the Analytics Club of the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur was honored to host Mr. Saurabh Khanna, Vice President, Bank of America as part of Talk Analytics ’18 series. The topic of discussion was ‘Analytics Industry Landscape’.
On the whole, the session gave an opportunity to Analytics enthusiasts to learn about the differences between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Science with respect to rules and processes. The classification of industry value chain and pyramid based on present trend followed by workforce, technology and tools provided a holistic view of the demographic distribution of the industry. Emphasis on D2P2 framework helped understand where the problem solving procedure for a given issue fits in, on the scale of value and difficulty. The detailed analysis on different phases in the customer life cycle with respect to different problems faced and solutions offered by analytics on acquisition, retention and engagement helped the audience develop a clear idea on the approach to real-world problem solving. The session has helped the audience develop a new perspective to face the real world issues and be ready for the new challenges ahead.
