IIM Nagpur successfully conducted the latest version of its industry-academia interaction- ILLUME 4.0. The event comprised of a leadership session followed by a CEO session by eminent speakers from diverse industries like automobiles,finance, and sports. After the inauguration, the Institute Director, Prof. L S Murty addressed the students and encouraged the young minds by stating how industry-academia amalgamation starts a cycle of knowledge building. Mr. Vaibhav Dange, Member, Board of Governors, IIM Nagpur, addressed the students by emphasizing on the importance of industry-institute interaction for students. He ended his speech by quoting, “It doesn’t matter where you came from, what matters the most is where you want to go.”
In the Leadership session, Mr. Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, India, discussed the changing technologies, consumer behavior, and evolving business models. He explained the importance of embracing change and the “can-do” spirit.
In the CEO session, Mr. Amit Saxena, Founder & CMD, eKosh Finance, discussed social sustainability and how corporate objectives need to be aligned with it. Subsequently, Mr. Ish Anand, CEO at HTC Sports Pvt Ltd, advised that it is vital to evolve and stay relevant in this rapidly changing world. He stated that financial viability is the key to sustainability.
The conference ended with a Q&A session in which students asked some interesting questions which were appreciated and answered by the guests. Illume 4.0 offered the students exposure to current industry scenarios and enriched their learning experience.
