MARX The Marketing Club

MarX – Marketing Club at IIM Nagpur is conducting its Flagship Marketing fest: INVICTA 2021. INVICTA is the confluence of thoughts and ideas; integration of knowledge and skills; and synthesis of intellectual prowess and brilliance. The marketing fest would be an umbrella event carried over the course of two days, covering variety of offline and online events, scheduled to be held on 23rd and 24th January 2021.

Our theme for the season is ‘Evolving Brand Communications’. With evolving technology, we see that brands continue to adapt and evolve their communications strategies in order to remain connected with the customers and maintain brand loyalty.

The events to be conducted under INVICTA are :
MARKOPOLY in Association with Medicover Hospitals
A corporate case study competition where participants will be working on a real-time problem statement given and judged by Medicover Hospitals. Round 1 will be an eliminator quiz and round 2 an online submission of the case solution. Shortlisted teams will present their solutions through a live presentation conducted virtually in the final round.

A flagship event of marketing club, ADWISE puts the advertising skills of students to test. The participating teams will be given the competition brief, for which they would have to design an ingenious ad video wherein they can either act or perform a jingle. This event, unique in itself, moves away from the case study and aims at testing the creativity of the teams. The event has only one round and submissions will be made online. Participants will receive the brief once registration closes.

This event tests the storytelling ability of participants. It is an individual event wherein participants would be required to weave a story around the given topic and submit it to the club in the form of a PDF. The topic is “Evolving Brand Communications – The Age of Hyper Personalisation and Technology”. The top two participants would be awarded with a prize money and a chance to feature in the quarterly club magazine “Mercatique” and Marketing Club’s Website.

A closed event for the students of IIM Nagpur, this event, scheduled on 23rd Jan 2021 will create an industry-academia connect for the students. Four panellists from diverse backgrounds and industries will engage in a discussion on the topic – “Marketing in the Age of Hyper-Personalization and Technology”. The students would be able to participate in the discussion and gain insights into the latest happenings in the marketing world across industries.

A national live event to give the students a peep into the workings of creative agencies and crafting of brand communications through storytelling and storyboarding. The event will feature a Masterclass by Ms. Aditi Patwardhan, Regional Director at MullenLowe Lintas, followed by a live competition to get the creative juices of participants flowing in the form of a storyboard. The event is scheduled on 24th January 2021, 10:00 am.
