Alok Kumar Singh

Prof. A.K.Singh is Professor in the area of Production and Operation Management, Director, Centre for Logistics, Infrastructure and Project Management (CLIP) and Chairperson Executive MBA program at IIM Nagpur. Prior to joining IIM Nagpur, he served as PGPM chairperson at IIM Trichy and Chairperson Admissions at IMI New Delhi. Prof Singh holds an FPM degree (Fellow in Management) in Operations management and Quantitative techniques area from Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He is a Mechanical Engineer from College of Technology, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. Before joining academics, he has worked with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), for almost 9 years and has more than 11 years of academic experience at IIM Nagpur, IIM Trichy, IMI New Delhi and IMT. Prof Singh is actively involved in academic, MDP’s and administrative activities and has trained more than 3000 executives of various corporates like IOCL, ONGC, GAIL, WAPCOS, COAL India, WCL, BIS , L&T, LUPIN, JK papers and Tata Automotive Components; to name a few. He teaches and trains on subjects like Project Management, Business Analytics and Operations Management. He is member of Board of Studies at College of Engineering Pune (COEP), Datta Meghe Institute of Management, Nagpur and VAMNICOM Pune. He is also a Principal Member of MSD-17 of BIS. He is also a nodal member of IUINDRR-National Institute of Disaster Management. He is also member of Governing Council of FDDI. He has published papers in reputed journals and has attended several conferences in India and abroad. Prof Singh is also involved in government and non-government consulting activities like District Strategy Plans and impact assessment of CSR projects.
