Dr. Soni Agrawal holds doctorate in Management from IIT, Kharagpur, India. Prior to joining academics, she had worked with FMCG and microfinance companies on strategy and HR. She is a certified on SA8000 from SAI.

In her academic experience, she held leadership positions as Dean MDP and chair to a number of committees. She is currently working on funded project from West Bengal Pollution Control Board and working as consultant in sustainability domain. Her areas of research interests are Sustainability, ESG, Employee engagement, Green human resource management, Performance management, and Industrial relations. She is a corporate trainer and had trained senior and mid-level executives in the area of motivation for higher performance, negotiation and conflict management skills and performance management. Some of the companies include Power Grid, CESC, PCBL, Oxford University Press, India Post, LIC, etc. She had published research papers and reviewed a number of books and research papers. She had authored a book Green HRM: Climate Conscious route to Triple Bottom Line.
