Prof Nikunj Kumar Jain has co-authored a paper titled ‘A Sustainable Approach for Multiple Dwellings Development Through Joint Procurement’. Dr. Piyush Choudhary, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, New Delhi, India, is his co-author. The paper has been published in IEEE Engineering Management Review (Scopus -Q1).
While infrastructure and construction projects majorly contribute to the national economy of developing nations, this perspective paper aims to figure out critical parameters of Joint Procurement (JP) for the medium level construction businesses in India. The study reveals that such an approach would seriously consider economic growth, sustainable quality life, and increasing per capita income. Bridging the knowledge gap between disperse stakeholders through JP methods would give rise to a new construction approach when support and cooperation between all the stakeholders exist.
