Nagpur, January 10, 2024 | IIM Nagpur recently hosted Upkrit 2.0, a mentor event, with the participation of over 50 industry mentors. As part of its innovative initiatives, IIM Nagpur has curated a groundbreaking course named Professional Management Practice (PMP) for first-year MBA students. This course aims to develop leadership skills to prepare students for the corporate world. A fundamental component of this course involves structured one-on-one mentoring by industry mentors. To facilitate this, IIM Nagpur has enlisted over 60 senior industry leaders as mentors.
While the mentoring sessions are happening online through Zoom, IIM Nagpur organized an event called Upkrit 2.0 to provide an opportunity for mentors to meet their mentees and for students to interact not only with their mentors but also with all other mentors who were present at the event.
The event was a resounding success, with students expressing excitement at the chance to meet industry leaders and engage in various interactive sessions throughout. During the event, students shared insights gained from their rural immersion program experiences, highlighting how these experiences have sensitized them to various leadership attributes.
A significant highlight of the event was the ‘Live Library’ session, consisting of small-group interactive discussions. During these sessions, mentors shared their personal life stories and pivotal experiences, offering invaluable insights to the students. These stories provided a wealth of learning opportunities for the students.
