Finesse club, IIM Nagpur was delighted to organize a virtual session with Mr. Parth Parikh, FRM, Retail Head of Finshiksha, as part of Fintalks ’20. The session was about “Careers in Finance and the Required Skills”.
Mr. Parth suggested focusing on a complete understanding of one or two sectors. He mentioned that understanding of clear functioning of a sector will give an edge to students to analyze, relate to markets and macro-economic factors affecting it. Major job functions and responsibilities that were covered in the session include, investment banking, equity research, credit analyst, and corporate banking, etc. He outlined the methods and modes of platforms which can be used to gain knowledge in the respective domains of interest of students.
The session was informative and saw enthusiastic participation from students. IIM Nagpur extends its gratitude to Mr. Parth Parikh for honoring the session with his valuable insights.
