IIM Nagpur witnessed an insightful session by Dr. Lukasz Zamecki and Dr. Lukasz Golota from University of Warsaw, Poland.
The professors discussed Poland’s role in world business and trade and India-Poland business relations.l They shared the journey of Poland since its reforms in the late 1980s and how it embarked on its developmental journey. Drawing students’ attention towards the concepts like neoliberalism, privatization, middle income trap and value addition in an economy, the professors made the students realise the intricacies of development and growth in an economy. They also acquainted students with the role of organisations like IMF and World Bank in the global economy and similarities and dissimilarities in the growth trajectories and government policies of various countries and their global impact.
With such an informative interaction, the session ignited a deep interest of students in exploring more about world economy, EU’S role, Poland’s role and India-Poland relationship.
