Bappa was welcomed wholeheartedly on 2nd September, 2019 by the students and staff members of IIM Nagpur. The morning of 2nd September saw everyone dressed up in their traditional best. There was a festive mood in the air and the installation of Lord Ganesh idol followed by a grand “aarti” enhanced it further.
The colorful and attractive decorations of the room and sparkling lights complemented the essence of the event, but when everyone came together with smiling faces and zest to keep up the culture, their enthusiasm added beauty to the event.
Spirits were high in the evening as well, when students participated in a Lagori competition, balloon popping challenge and other games.
The “Visarjan” took place on 4th September with dhol, tasha and gulal colors in the air. The idol was immersed in artificial tanks set up at Ambazari Lake.
