IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Capt. Pranav Prasoon Thakur, Head of Human Resources, Renault India for a session as a part of our Leadership Webinar Series – VIHAAN 2.0. The theme of the discussion was “Lessons in people management amidst global turmoil”.
The discussion started with Capt Pranav giving a brief introduction to his background in the armed forces and how the training he received helped him develop his own personality. He explained to us how by becoming a leader we can push ourselves beyond our own boundaries and achieve newer heights. He went on to explain the importance of developing people management skills and the ways in which developing empathy along with understanding others’ points of view can help us become more effective leaders. He gave several practical insights from both his days in the forces as well as his time till now as a civilian which proved to be highly enriching for the students.
He also shared the importance of developing integrity and the quintessential need for ensuring that commitment towards work never fails.
