IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr. Sudipto Mandal, VP, and CHRO – HR Star Cement Ltd. for another amazing session as a part of our flagship leadership Webinar Series -VIHAAN 2.0. The topic of the session was ”Career conversation with Mr. Sudipto Mandal”.
The discussion started with Mr. Sudipto explaining his successful transition across different industries like manufacturing, IT, and BFSI. He mentioned the importance of continuously adapting to different situations so as to learn new skills – both cognitive and noncognitive. He conveyed that apart from one’s own development, we should also keep a lookout on other employees who are keen to learn, and provide them support to upskill themselves. He talked about the need of developing a strong understanding of the subject matter, as well as asking adequate questions wherever possible to experts so as to develop more clarity regarding concepts and their applications.
He concluded by talking about the importance of continuously reflecting on one’s own self and the need to have more practical experience so that our analytical skills can be sharpened.
