IIM Nagpur was honored to host Padma Bhushan Sri M as a Keynote Speaker as part of our Orientation Programme for PGP 2021-23. The topic of his address was ‘Relevance of India’s Ancient Wisdom and Knowledge to Management Practices’.
Sri M is a yogi, social reformer and founder of The Satsang Foundation. In his address, shared management lessons we could derive from ancient Indian wisdom, talking about how the innate desire for completeness, and universal well-being is embedded in our scriptures. Touching upon learnings from the Upanishads and Bhagavad-Geeta, Sri M outlined the attributes that make an effective manager and a well-rounded human being. He emphasized on the importance of balanced dialogue, guided by mutual cooperation and a holistic view.
Students interacted with Sri M in a QnA session moderated by Prof A R Papi Reddy (faculty coordinator for Orientation), posing questions about navigating the demands of everyday professional and personal lives, and maintaining equanimity in critical times.
