IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr. Sumit Jasoria, MD, Meero India, and Mr. Amit Kalra, CFO, HILTI Manufacturing India, for the second session of its Leadership Webinar Series, Vihaan, on April 25, 2020.
Mr. Jasoria spoke on the theme “Coping with COVID-19: Startup perspective”. He discussed the business model of Meero and how it is disrupting the photography space. He also touched upon how Meero is tackling the pandemic. Given his vast experience in working with emerging businesses, Mr. Jasoria provided some valuable insights on how startups can deal with the current situation. He also emphasized upon being transparent to all the stakeholders and performing scenario-planning regularly to stay ahead of the curve.
Mr. Amit Kalra, CFO, Hilti Manufacturing India, addressed the attendees in the second webinar for the day. He spoke on the theme “Move from Ambition to Vision: Individual Consciousness”. In this session, the concepts of vision and ambition were explored through examples of eminent personalities and how the underlying philosophy of tackling the problems of people around us helps in formulating a vision in our minds. Through debates, discussions, and interactive exercises, the attendees navigated through their understanding of the contribution of the mindset, and their own individual conscious levels.
