IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr. Mahesh Gera, Group CHRO at Rustomjee, for another amazing session as a part of our flagship Leadership Webinar Series – VIHAAN 2.0. The theme of the discussion was “Mindsets and Beyond.”
The discussion started with Mr. Mahesh sharing a few thoughts about some conceptions – like how a job paying more salary is a better job, start-ups are the only way, we can’t grow in smaller companies, should have studied in an English-medium school, we can’t out-do someone – are all just mindsets.
He touched upon key parameters such as tempo, momentum, team mission, diversity and inclusion, cheering up, team bonding, and the importance of support members in the corporate journey. He emphasized that we can achieve success if we have determination, willpower and stay focused on our primary goal. We should develop a “come what may – I will do it” attitude and be committed to our passion.
He concluded the session with a beautiful quote by Gino Rojas – “In every movement there comes a time to relax. Obviously, in a revolution, you get hot, uncomfortable in your suit, and your tie snugs up.”
