IIM Nagpur was delighted to host Mr. Sumit Neogi, HR Director – South Asia & Middle East, The Lubrizol Corporation, for another amazing session of our flagship Leadership Webinar Series – VIHAAN 2.0. The theme of the discussion was “Lessons in People Management amidst global turmoil.”
The discussion started with Mr. Sumit expressing his views about the resilience shown by the people in the organization in different pandemic stages, and how they overcome the operational and supply chain challenges. He touched upon key parameters such as internal and external communications, digitization in people and talent management, employee wellness program and measures taken by the organization regarding the safety of the employees.
He summarized the hybrid working model, leadership skills and work-life balance during these unprecedented times. He also emphasized that during these exceptional times, we must be ourselves, and it is okay to be vulnerable; stating that our teams will welcome us and connect better.
He encouraged students to acquire analytical skills, be humble, and suggested breaking down the problem to resolve them one at a time.
